In the realm of the enthusiast certain locations attain legendary status - Santo Domingo, Las Americas is one such place. For many years the cargo ramp was associated with regular services operated by Convair, Douglas and Lockheed aircraft of the 1950 era. Sadly as time passed the number of operational aircraft diminished, even the "graveyard" was cleared of hulks which had given up the last of their spare parts.
